Although the seventh installment in the “Mission Impossible” film franchise was a moderate box office hit when it was released in theaters, it may find a wider audience now that it’s available on home video.
Here’s how to watch “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” at home: It’s available to stream on Paramount+ for subscribers only. Watch the action movie for free, when you sign up for a 7-day free trial for Paramount+.
After the free trial is over, you can cancel the streaming service altogether, or you can keep watching Paramount+ for $5.99/month for the basic ad-supported plan. If you want to go ad-free, it’s priced at $11.99/month. This plan includes programming from Showtime at no additional cost.
And if you’re looking to watch the entire franchise, then you’re in luck. All seven “Mission Impossible” films are now available to stream on Paramount+.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” follows Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), an IMF (Impossible Missions Force) member who must track down a dangerous new weapon called “The Entity,” a self-aware artificial intelligence, before the wrong people get their hands on it and exploit the world.
However, this weapon is so menacing and threatening that Hunt has to complete the mission at all cost — even if it endangers the lives of his team.
The cast also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny and others.
Meanwhile, despite “Mission: Impossible 7’s” soft box office haul of $567.5 million worldwide, the franchise as a whole has a proven track record for high quality stunts and audience thrills for nearly 30 years.
Variety film critic Peter Debruge wrote in his review, “This outing may be one-half of a two-part finale, but it gives audiences enough closure to stand on its own, and every reason to expect the last installment will be a corker.”
Now available on Paramount+, you can stream “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning,” if you’re a subscriber.
